An Early Debut in Izmir

Buçe Buse Kahraman didn't wait to finish her acting studies at Dokuz Eylül University to step onto a professional set. In 2017 she landed the role of Neşe in the film Kötü Çocuk. She was 21 years old and had technical training that set her apart from the typical social media star profile.

Her training at the Faculty of Fine Arts shaped her initial working method. In the Turkish industry, academic training is often a decisive filter for getting into the major Istanbul production companies. After that first contact with film, she moved to the country's financial capital to find a place in television.

And the gamble paid off.

In 2018, she joined the cast of Çarpışma. It was a high-budget production in which she shared the screen with names already established in the European market. But her name began to genuinely catch on with casting directors a year later.

Building an antagonist

In 2019 she joined the series Yasak Elma to bring Lila Argun to life. This project marked a major shift in her public profile. Long-running Turkish productions demand shooting schedules of more than 14 hours a day, and she kept up the pace for several seasons.

But mass recognition isn't always kind.

In 2022 she took on the role of Pelin in Yalı Çapkını. The character was designed to create friction in the main plot, and audience reaction was visceral. For 2023, the actress had to deal with harassment campaigns on social media due to her character's actions in the story.

It was a test of mental endurance that forced her to guard her private life. So she decided to limit her online interactions and focus exclusively on the technical evolution of her scenes. By 2024, her character was still driving the conflicts most talked about by international audiences.

Unlike many actresses of her generation, Kahraman has sought to diversify the formats she works in. In 2023, she joined the Netflix series Biz Kimden Kaçıyorduk Anne?. The production helped her face reach audiences beyond the traditional daily soap opera circuit.

Because the streaming market pays better and offers shorter shoots.

In 2021, she also tried historical drama with Uyanış: Büyük Selçuklu. That shoot demanded physical skills she had not used before, such as weapons handling and basic horseback riding outdoors. It was a state-funded production that required absolute technical precision in every action sequence.

In 2024, her professional representation is still handled by the agency Cem Tatlıtuğ Management.
