Antonela Roccuzzo never gives interviews in front of an open microphone. In an industry obsessed with noise and public confession, the Argentine businesswoman understood early on that reserve is worth far more than any off-the-cuff statement made to the press. Her presence before the cameras follows a meticulous script in which a steady gaze and composure replace the rhetoric typical of celebrities.
Born in Rosario in 1988 to a family in retail, she tried her luck at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario. First she studied dentistry for six months. She later spent a year studying social communication before packing her bags to settle in Europe.
In 2014 she launched the textile brand Enfans in Argentina together with her sister Paula and her cousin Andrea Lo Menzo. The goal was not to invent anything extravagant but to create a line of understated basics for kids produced in her hometown. And the formula worked, quietly.
Business is pure calculation.
In May 2017 she decided to try her luck in high-end retail in Spain. For this venture she set up the company Roccbal 109 with Sofía Balbi, opening a shoe store for the Argentine brand Sarkany right on Barcelona's Avenida Diagonal. It was a risky move that aimed to carry her South American commercial appeal onto one of Catalonia's most expensive streets.
But the European market punished the brand's lack of local roots. Neither the opening parade of soccer stars nor the media blitz managed to disguise a steady bleed in the company's balance sheet.
Nobody buys shoes out of sympathy.
In March 2019 they shut the doors with accumulated losses of more than 150,000 euros after two years in the red. That failed venture taught Roccuzzo a lesson in production: commercial profitability depended not on the street-level storefront but on her own ability to sell concepts through the screen.
Stepping away from the traditional storefront, she turned her public profile into a showcase of understated luxury. Brands such as Tiffany, Guerlain and Alo Yoga signed deals with her precisely because she refused to get drawn into gossip or tabloid controversies. Her appearance in documentaries such as Messi’s World Cup: The Rise of a Legend, released by Apple TV in 2024, confirmed that supporting yet influential role, where every gesture is measured so as not to disrupt the main story.
And the silence paid off.
Because her Instagram account gathers more than forty million followers without ever giving a single speech in front of journalists. So her move into real estate in 2024, with the Raíces Funes project in Santa Fe province, confirmed the diversification of her family's investments.
In 2026 she closed her partnership with the cosmetics brand Anastasia Beverly Hills through a contract that kept full control over approval of the final edit of her promotional images.
