Sailub Hemmawich stands 183 centimeters tall, and that height was his first major selling point in the Thai entertainment industry. Before starring in internationally reaching series, he spent years building his image as a model for local clothing and cosmetics brands. His academic background didn't initially point toward the spotlight, since he graduated with a degree in Political Science from Ramkhamhaeng University in Bangkok.
And the strategy worked.
In 2021 he began appearing on television in supporting roles that made use of his look but gave him little room as an actor. He took part in projects such as Bad Beauty in 2022, where he played characters who served as narrative support for the leads. This early stage taught him the rhythms of filming and the technical demands of the country's major production companies.
Her big break came in 2023 with her role in Pit Babe. In the series, she played Alan, the captain of a racing team who had to manage internal tensions and outside competition. The project was one of the biggest bets of the production company Change2561 and reached millions of views on digital platforms across Asia.
The shoot was exhausting.
The actors had to train on real racetracks so that the driving scenes would carry a realistic weight on camera. In today's Thai industry, looks alone are no longer enough, and a very high level of technical commitment is expected. Sailub drew on his earlier sports background to adapt to the action choreography demanded by Nopachai Jayanama's script.
In 2024 he made the leap to lead roles with This Love Doesn’t Have Long Beans. Here he played Oab, a perfectionist chef who runs a fine-dining restaurant and steps away from the usual romantic stereotypes. For this role he had to learn basic knife techniques and professional kitchen protocols so he wouldn't lose credibility in close-up shots.
The bet paid off.
In 2025 he returned to his role as Alan for the second season of Pit Babe, with a much more complex storyline. His character went from a supporting role to having a storyline of his own, exploring family and professional conflicts. This change of register required him to work with voice coaches to modulate his tone in the most emotionally demanding scenes.
But his career isn't limited to acting in front of the camera. In 2024 and 2025, he actively took part in the soundtracks of his projects, including the song No Hero, recorded together with other cast members. This diversification of income is common in the contracts of the agency Change2561, which seeks to maximize its artists' presence at live events and on music platforms.
In 2025 he also recorded the suspense series Maya, where he played Indy in a world of mystery and ambition. The project was shot entirely on film-format cameras to give the story a darker visual texture. The technical budget of his productions in 2025 rose 20 percent over previous years due to the use of high-end directional microphones.
