A Crazy Party

Marc Schaudel has no babysitter for the weekend and needs someone to look after his son Rémy. He decides to entrust him to Franck, an employee at his company whom he considers a serious and responsible young man. Franck, who dreams of becoming an illustrator at the company, accepts the job. Marc and his wife, Claire, get ready to spend a few days away, convinced that their son is in good hands. But Marc doesn't know that Franck turns thirty that same weekend, or that Rémy is a more difficult child than his parents think. The film is directed by Nicolas Benamou and Philippe Lacheau, who also stars in the movie alongside Alice David.

Trivia about Babysitting

It marked the directorial debut of Philippe Lacheau, who also wrote the screenplay and starred in the film alongside Alice David and Vincent Desagnat.

The film combines physical comedy with found footage style, using handheld camerawork to create energy and a sense of chaos.

In Spain, it was not released until January 1, 2015, nearly a year after its release in France.

In January 2015, Universal Pictures confirmed that a sequel was in development.

In Spain, it grossed around 127,589 euros and was seen by about 20,109 moviegoers, according to the ICAA.

Babysitting won the Audience Award and the Special Jury Prize at the Alpe d'Huez International Comedy Film Festival, before going on to surpass 2.3 million moviegoers in France.

In 2022, Philippe Lacheau said a third film was still not officially moving forward because the team had not yet found a suitable idea for the script.
