Charade

Charles Lampert, wanted by the U.S. government for allegedly making off with a quarter of a million dollars in gold from a federal fund, money given to Charles and four of his war comrades during the war to help the French Resistance, is murdered while traveling by train near Bordeaux. Lampert's wife, Regine, is placed under surveillance in Paris not only by members of the American embassy, but also by the people Charles cheated, who accuse Regine of hiding the money. Yet Regine seems to be unaware of the whole scheme set up by her late husband.
