Malena

Malena is the most charming and irresistible beauty in Castelcuto, a dull town on the sunny Sicilian coast. New in town and with her husband away at war, every walk she takes through the village becomes a spectacle, accompanied by the lustful stares of the local men and the resentful gossip of their envious wives. A army of skinny teenagers on bicycles follows her wherever she goes, with the sole purpose of admiring her exquisite, archetypal beauty. Among them is Renato Amoroso, a thirteen-year-old boy with a vivid imagination who takes his desire to unexpected limits of obsessive fantasy.
