Rurouni Kenshin Part I: Origins

Kenshin Himura (Takeru Sato) is a famous samurai known for his skill with the katana and his coldness when it comes to killing. In the past, he served the Ishin Shishi, a group of patriots fighting to return power to the Emperor, fighting hundreds of battles and claiming many lives. But after all the battles end, he vows never to kill again and decides to fade into anonymity, traveling the country as a wanderer helping anyone in need, as penance for all the deaths he caused. Ten years later, in 1878, Kenshin arrives in Tokyo, where he meets Kaoru (Emi Takei), who invites him to stay at her dojo until he decides to wander again. However, the past Kenshin tried to leave behind will soon return to seek revenge against him. Adaptation of the manga by Nobuhiro Watsuki.
