The Birds

Melanie, a wealthy, snobbish young woman from San Francisco high society, happens to meet lawyer Mitch Brenner in a pet shop, where he has come to buy a birthday present for Kathy, his younger sister. Mitch, who knows Melanie's wild lifestyle from the press, treats her with disdain and leaves the store, leaving her quite irritated. She, who is not used to being treated that way, orders a pair of lovebirds and takes them to the lawyer's home, but Mitch has gone to spend the weekend at his mother's house. Melanie then decides to go to Bodega Bay and show up at the Brenners' house with the excuse of giving the lovebirds to Kathy. As soon as she arrives, the birds, driven wild, begin to viciously attack the town's residents. The situation worsens as the hours pass.
