The Heist of the Century

Friday, January 13, 2006. The Hawk Group sharpshooters are waiting for an order. Miguel Sileo, the negotiator, lets hopes fade that Vitette, one of the leaders of the gang of thieves who entered the Banco Río branch in Acassuso, will show any signs of life. The Hawk Group receives the order and goes in: they find the unexpected. Toy guns and about twenty frightened hostages are waiting for them inside; there is no sign of the gang of thieves. While they check the hostages to find the masterminds of the robbery disguised among them, the police discover that more than half of the safe deposit boxes were opened and emptied.
