The Italian Job

Set in Turin, this caper film follows a meticulously planned heist by a gang of thieves who stage a massive traffic jam to steal a shipment of gold. Charlie Croker (Michael Caine) gets out of prison determined to pull off the heist of the century: stealing 4,000,000 pounds right under the noses of the Turin police. He enlists the help of the brilliant criminal Mr. Bridger (Noël Coward) and a crew of small-time crooks. The problem is that, with the police and the mafia hot on their heels, stealing the money turns out to be much easier than getting it out of the country.
