The Man from Earth

The film tells the story of John Oldman, a university professor who claims to be a Cro-Magnon man aged 14,000 years old who has survived to the present day. The entire film is shot in the same house and its porch, a sign of its low budget and almost handcrafted production. It relies solely on the characters' conversation to carry the plot, with no special effects or action scenes. It is an intellectual discussion between an alleged caveman and his current colleagues, at his farewell as a university teacher. As the hours pass, the reactions of his scientist friends are very varied, and questions, issues, revelations and reactions of all kinds emerge.
