What Season 1 of Chespirito: Not Really on Purpose

The season kicks off in 1951, when Roberto, played by Pablo Cruz Guerrero, is determined to make it in television despite his mother's opposition. His dream is to make audiences laugh with his ideas, though he has to negotiate with the demands of network executives. His personal life matters too: love and family collide with his career and force him to balance both worlds. Like Chespirito, he tries his luck on another channel and looks for a sketch that works. A family moment and a childhood memory inspire him to create El Chavo. The ensemble cast includes Paulina Dávila and Bárbara López.
