What Season 1 of Line of Duty

Steve Arnott, a former counter-terrorism officer, ends up in the AC-12 unit after refusing to cover up an illegal shooting committed by his own team. There he works with Kate Fleming, an undercover officer with a remarkable instinct for investigation, under the orders of Superintendent Ted Hastings. Their mission is to keep watch on the police of Central Police, a force in an unnamed British city. The season kicks off with Tony Gates, decorated for heroic conduct but with a very high arrest rate. Kate watches him interview a witness, and Arnott discovers that Gates knew Jackie Laverty long before the theft of her car. Every case forces the officers to decide how far they are willing to go.
