Blake Baumgartner

The asphalt of New York before the lights

Blake Baumgartner started working when most kids are still learning to tie their shoes. There was no big announcement or aggressive marketing campaign to introduce her to the world. Her training was forged on East Coast sets under a discipline that has little to do with the posturing of social media.

She appeared in TV commercials and small theater productions before making the leap to the big screen. Her family quickly understood that acting was no summer game. And the bet paid off.

And then horror came calling.

In 2018, he played a young girl in The Nun, one of the most profitable entries in the The Conjuring franchise. The film grossed more than $365 million worldwide. That role showed him he could carry a big-budget production without flinching under pressure from the studios.

Baumgartner's appeal has always lain in his ability to fit into prestigious ensemble casts. In 2019, he joined the miniseries Fosse/Verdon, where he played Nicole Fosse. Working alongside Michelle Williams and Sam Rockwell gave him the polish of a serious actor that many spend decades earning.

The industry watched her grow up in front of the cameras.

That same year, he began his career on City on a Hill, playing Benedetta Rohr until 2022. The Showtime series placed him in a dark, criminal Boston, sharing scenes with Kevin Bacon. The production demanded a dry, realistic tone that Baumgartner handled with a composure rare for someone his age.

The demands of the period drama

In 2022, he appeared in The First Lady, playing the young Susan Ford. Shortly after, he joined the cast of The Gilded Age, the ambitious period drama from Julian Fellowes. Playing Carrie Astor meant wrestling with heavy costumes and stiff dialogue in 19th-century high society.

Television was her main work environment.

In 2024, she joined the cast of The Penguin, the spin-off series from the Batman universe produced by HBO. This project directly linked her to one of the most powerful brands in global entertainment. Her role in this crime drama reinforces a career that avoids empty products in favor of scripts with real substance.

By 2025, he is scheduled to release The Amateur, a spy thriller directed by James Hawes. The film has an estimated budget of $80 million and places him in an international action setting. Baumgartner signed on for this film after a three-month casting process in London.
