From Massachusetts to Burbank Sets

Brittany Curran arrived in Los Angeles at eleven years old with a suitcase full of expectations. There was no preamble. In 2004, she landed a small role in 13 Going on 30, and that shoot started a momentum that would not stop for two decades. Those were the years of high-budget teen movies, and she found her place among the young stars of the moment.

Disney was her training ground. She appeared in Hotel Hotel and Drake & Josh while other kids her age were finishing high school. But her look fit better outside the laugh track. In 2009, she joined the cast of Men of a Certain Age to play the daughter of Ray Romano. That TNT drama lasted only two seasons but earned her the critical respect that the children's entertainment factory often denied her.

Fen was not a main character at first.

In 2017, she joined The Magicians to play a resident of a magical world with a rather twisted internal logic. What began as a one-off collaboration ended with Curran promoted to a series regular in the third season. The Syfy series ended in 2020 after five seasons. That's where audiences discovered that her ability in physical drama surpassed anything seen in her earlier work.

Diamonds and Independent Production

The film industry often devours young actors who don't diversify their income. Curran knew it. That's why she founded her own luxury jewelry brand. In 2021, she focused much of her energy on designing pieces with ethically sourced diamonds. But she didn't leave the cameras behind for the sparkle of precious stones.

And the plan worked.

In 2023, she took part in the thriller The Many Worlds of George Goodman. Independent productions now let her choose projects with less box office pressure. Control over her public image has always been an absolute priority since she stopped being a child actress.

Her run in horror films has also been steady. In 2014, she starred in The Scribbler, and in 2017 she headed the cast of Captured. These niche projects keep her name in international genre circles. So her career today moves between corporate design and mid-budget shoots.

Filming for her next suspense feature was scheduled for late 2024 in locations in Louisiana. The actress had more than 40 official credits on her professional profile before turning thirty-five.
