Building a personal brand

Lexi Giovagnoli made her on-screen debut before she was old enough to drive legally in many states. In 2012 she appeared in The 12 Dogs of Christmas: Great Puppy Rescue and laid the foundation for what would become her professional career. She wasn't chasing critical acclaim at European festivals.

Her goal was the domestic market.

Family films and holiday movies generate millions of dollars on streaming platforms and specialty channels. Giovagnoli specialized in relatable characters and wholesome storylines. In 2013 she shot 10 Items or Less and began to understand the ins and outs of independent distribution in the United States.

Before turning twenty-five, she already knew that relying on casting directors' calls was a rookie mistake. So she decided to take control of the chain of command. In 2014 she starred in A Christmas Kiss II and saw firsthand how TV audiences consume these productions en masse during the winter holidays.

From the Set to the Producer's Chair

She founded the company G It's Entertainment with Elizabeth Snoderly to make her own projects. The system is simple but very effective: fast shoots, tight budgets and guaranteed distribution in international cable TV markets. In 2015 she produced and starred in All She Wishes, a film that validated her private business model.

And the gamble paid off.

In 2016 she starred in Accidentally Engaged and continued to exploit the light romantic comedy genre. But her work wasn't limited to being in front of the camera. She also oversaw hiring the crew and scouting locations to make every dollar invested in production count. She has produced more than fifteen feature films under this independent model.

In 2022 she premiered The Wedding Pact 2: The Baby Pact under the direction of Matt Berman. This sequel came nearly a decade after the original film and kept the warm tone that defines her personal catalog. But her pace of work didn't slow down after that premiere.

The Business of Feel-Good Fiction

During 2023 she focused on script supervision and production logistics for third-party companies. In 2024 she worked on the production of Honey, I'm Home, keeping to the line of romantic stories that steadily feed digital catalogs across half the world. There's no room for long breaks in her shooting schedule.

Profitability comes before acting ego.

The movie The Holiday Stocking from 2022 was one of her most far-reaching projects on the Hallmark network. The average budget for this type of production typically ranges from two to five million dollars per week of actual filming.
