Star Match
The most cinematic match-three puzzle game: combine props, create movie power-ups, and beat 30 filming levels.

Each session has 3 takes: if a level runs out of moves, you lose one. Your levels and stars are saved in this browser.
How to play
- Swap two adjacent pieces by swiping or dragging with your mouse, or with two clicks. If they don't form a line of three matching pieces, they return to their original spots.
- Limited moves: clear the level goals before you run out. Any leftover moves turn into spotlights in the final scene.
- Three takes per session: if you get stuck on a level, you lose one take. Without any takes left, the session ends and your points go to the leaderboard.
Six movie props, each with its own shape and color: star, film reel, popcorn, clapperboard, movie ticket, and 3D glasses. If the board stops moving, you'll see a hint, and if no moves are left, it shuffles automatically.
Superpowers
- Spotlight (4 in a row): a beam of light clears the entire row or column.
- Popcorn bomb (in an L or T shape): explodes and clears a 3×3 square.
- Star of Fame (5 in a row): swap it with a piece and all pieces of that color disappear.
Combine them: a spotlight with a spotlight makes a cross, a spotlight with a popcorn bomb clears three rows and three columns, two bombs wipe out a 5×5 area, and a star combined with a spotlight or a bomb multiplies across the whole board, while two stars clear the entire board.
Goals and Points
- Cellophane: make matches on top of it to break it. Pink cellophane has two layers.
- Prop boxes: break when matches are made next to them or with power-ups. Some have two or three layers.
- Trophies: can't be matched; drop them all the way down to the bottom row.
Each level you complete adds 60 points to your session, 30 per star, and up to 30 more for leftover moves (half if you repeat a level in the same session). Click "End" whenever you want to save your session to the Arena leaderboard.
