Roam the Hollywood sets collecting sparkles and dodge the paparazzi. Each set brings a new trap.

STAR RUSH

Collect all the sparkles on the set without getting caught by the paparazzi. With the Golden Oscar, they're the ones who run.

  • Mobile: swipe anywhere on the board in the direction you want to go, or turn on the directional pad.
  • Computer: arrow keys or W A S D. Press just before a corner and you'll turn when you reach it. P pauses, M toggles sound.
  • Watch the set: the trapdoors blink yellow before opening, and the scenery warns you before it moves.

You start with 3 lives and earn another at 10,000 points. Each level is faster, and each set introduces a new trap.

How to Play Star Rush

You're a movie star in sunglasses, and you have to make your way through each set until you collect all the sparkles. Four paparazzi chase you, each in their own way, alternating between bursts of harassment and moments when they scatter into the corners. Grab a golden Oscar, and for a few seconds they're the ones who have to run: catch them in a row to score 200, 400, 800, and 1,600 points. The side passage takes you to the other side, and it slows them down.

Cast

  • The star: that's you. Press a direction before reaching the corner and you'll keep turning on your own.
  • Flash: goes straight for you.
  • Zoom: rushes ahead toward where you're headed.
  • Click: it makes you pose next to Flash.
  • Rumor: the clueless one; it follows you from a distance and leaves when you get close.
  • Scared: after the Oscar they flee in pale blue and tremble when it runs out.
  • Back to the van: a trapped paparazzo returns to the press van.

Sparkles and Bonuses

  • Sparkle: 10 points. Collect them all to move on to the next set.
  • Golden Oscar: 50 points, and the paparazzi flee.
  • Clapperboard: 100 points (level 1).
  • Popcorn: 300 points (level 2).
  • Movie camera: 500 points (level 3).
  • Sunglasses: 700 points (level 4).
  • Microphone: 1,000 points (level 5).
  • Star on the walk of fame: 2,000 points (level 6).
  • Oscar: 3,000 points (level 7 and up).

Bonuses appear twice per set under the van and disappear after a few seconds.

Set Traps

  • Trapdoor (level 2): blinks yellow and then opens. If you fall, you lose a life; the scared paparazzi fall too.
  • Moving set (level 3): opens and closes hallways on a fixed cycle. It never crushes: if someone's in the way, it waits.
  • Conveyor belt (level 4): you move faster going with it and slower against it.
  • Revolving door (level 4): only lets you through in the direction of the panel and turns every few seconds.
  • Spotlight (level 5): if it lights you up, all the paparazzi come after you for a while.
  • Dressing room (level 5): takes you to the dressing room in the opposite corner.
  • Night mode (level 6): you can only see what's close to you, plus the spotlights and the red light on each camera.

From level 7 on, the sets repeat faster and traps appear more often.
