Sandra, a German writer, lives with her husband Samuel and their blind son, Daniel, in a chalet in the middle of the French Alps. When Samuel dies under mysterious circumstances, the investigation cannot determine whether it was suicide or homicide. Sandra is arrested and put on trial for murder, and the proceedings put their turbulent relationship and her ambiguous personality under the spotlight
