Beautiful Thing

Jamie Gangel has a tense relationship with his mother, Sandra, because of his truancy. Leah escapes into music after being expelled from school, and Ste lives with domestic violence every day. The lives of these three young people intertwine when Ste, fed up with his family, walks out of the house. While his mother is away, spending more time at work or with her new boyfriend Tony than at home, Jamie invites Ste to spend the night with him. That's when the attraction between them ignites, leading them to deal with their feelings and the awakening of their homosexuality.
