In 2010, Paris is suffering the effects of drugs, organized crime and street violence. The focus of the problem is District B13, a ghetto of two million residents on the outskirts of the city. Unable to control it, authorities have built a wall topped with barbed wire around the area, and those who remain inside must survive without schools, basic services or police protection. Leïto, played by David Belle, is the protagonist. His life unfolds in this closed territory, where the law barely exists and gangs control the streets. That isolation is the starting point of the story.
