Death Race

In the near future, an overcrowded penitentiary inspires the guards to create a pastime as cruel as it is profitable. Inmates capable of anything, a global audience hungry for televised violence, and a spectacular arena come together in DEATH RACE. Three-time speed champion Jensen Ames (Jason Statham) is an expert at surviving the desert landscape the country has become. He believes he has changed his life, but the former convict is accused of a terrible crime he did not commit. The director of Terminal Island (Joan Allen) forces him to wear the Frankenstein mask, a crowd favorite who seems impossible to kill, and gives him two options: compete or rot in a cell. With his face hidden behind the metal mask, the prisoner must survive the three most terrible days of his life, facing the worst criminals from the country's toughest prisons if he wants to walk free.
