Synopsis of Zero Day

Former U.S. President George Mullen receives broad powers from President Evelyn Mitchell to lead a special commission created with a specific goal: to identify those responsible for a cyberattack against the country that has caused thousands of deaths. Mullen is a former prosecutor and Vietnam veteran who must work alongside Roger Carlson, a troubled political adviser, while his daughter Alexandra, a New York congresswoman, is tasked with keeping an eye on him from the oversight committee. The series, created by Eric Newman, Noah Oppenheim and Michael Schmidt, streams on Netflix and stars Robert De Niro. Its story combines the investigation of the attack with the political and family tensions surrounding Mullen.
