The Dark Knight Rises

Eight years have passed since Batman disappeared, giving up his role as a hero to become a fugitive. Taking the blame for the death of District Attorney Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight chose to sacrifice everything for what he, like Commissioner Gordon, considered a greater good. The lie holds for a time, as criminal activity in Gotham City is subdued thanks to the harsh Dent Act. But everything changes with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar who plans to carry out a mysterious scheme. Far more dangerous, however, is the appearance of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans force Bruce to return from his self-imposed exile.
