Aramis Knight isn't the typical child prodigy who burns out before turning twenty.
Born in Woodland Hills in 1999, he was already logging hours on high-rated television sets by the time other kids were starting high school. His face began to turn heads in Los Angeles casting offices thanks to small roles in Boston Legal and Dexter.
They were roles lasting just a few minutes.
But that constant exposure allowed him to learn the craft from the ground up. In Hollywood, staying power is earned through patience, and Knight knew how to wait his turn while appearing in projects such as The Whole Truth.
The industry took notice in 2013, when he played Bean in the film adaptation of Ender's Game. Sharing the screen with Harrison Ford and Ben Kingsley meant he had to rise to the occasion fast. Knight handled the pressure of a franchise hoping to take the crown from other young-adult sagas, but it fell short at the box office.
That project cost 110 million dollars and barely recouped its initial investment on U.S. soil.
But the actor emerged unscathed from the commercial shipwreck.
His name was already on lists of young talents capable of carrying the physical demands of a production. So his logical next step was to move away from procedural dramas and embrace pure action.
In 2015, he got the chance to put his martial arts training to use in AMC's series Into the Badlands. He played M.K. for three seasons and underwent military-style training in New Orleans and Dublin.
The physical demands were so high that the cast spent entire weeks rehearsing Wushu choreography before the cameras started rolling. Knight performed most of his own stunts without stunt doubles (except for big falls or vehicle impacts).
The series ended in 2019 after 32 episodes were filmed.
That stage helped him build muscle and learn how body language works on camera. Then the call from Disney came.
In 2022, he joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Kareem in the miniseries Ms. Marvel. His character brought a Pakistani cultural dimension that the actor portrayed with care, drawing on his own family roots. Filming took place in Atlanta and Thailand under strict confidentiality measures.
He signed a standard Marvel Studios contract that typically includes availability clauses across multiple platforms. During the series' promotion, he avoided giving details about his future in the franchise.
Knight maintains his residence in California and remains involved in professional stage combat training. In 2023, he appeared in the short film Centurion directed by Jean-Paul Frenay. The production had a technical crew of fewer than fifty people.
