Synopsis of Weeds

Nancy Botwin lives in Agrestic, a fictional residential neighborhood in the Los Angeles area, with her sons Silas, 15 years old, and Shane, 10. A few months ago, her husband, Judah, died suddenly while jogging with their youngest. Nancy wants to keep up the upper-middle-class lifestyle his salary provided, and her solution is something unexpected: she starts selling marijuana to her neighbors. Created by Jenji Kohan, the series airs on Showtime and stars Mary-Louise Parker as this determined widow, who is trying to keep her family afloat in a neighborhood where everything looks perfect on the surface.
