Synopsis of The Following
Ryan Hardy is a former FBI agent who returns to duty when Joe Carroll, a serial killer he helped put behind bars, escapes from prison. Carroll, a former English literature professor, has not abandoned his plans and intends to continue his crimes. Hardy begins tracking him down with his team, but soon discovers that the inmate has gathered around him a group of like-minded followers, people he knew in the classroom and in prison. That circle has turned into a cult of fanatical killers, with Emma Hill as the leader's right hand. Created by Kevin Williamson and aired on Fox, the series follows the manhunt for Carroll and his followers across New York, Virginia and Maryland.
