Synopsis of Unforgettable

Carrie Wells is a former Syracuse police officer with hypermnesia, a condition that lets her recall every detail of everything she has lived through. There is one painful exception: she cannot remember what happened on the day her sister was murdered. When her former partner and ex-boyfriend, Lt. Al Burns, asks for her help with a case, Carrie agrees to join the Queens homicide unit within the New York Police Department. There she works alongside Burns and his team, using her memory to solve crimes, in the hope that these cases will help her recover the missing piece of her past. The series was created by John Bellucci and Ed Redlich, airs on CBS and stars Poppy Montgomery, alongside Dylan Walsh.

Trivia about Unforgettable

Actress Marilu Henner served as a consultant on the series and, like the lead character, has hypermnesia in real life.

After CBS canceled the show in May 2012, TNT and Lifetime expressed interest in the series, but neither ultimately picked it up.

The series was also produced by CBS Television Studios and Sony Pictures Television, in addition to CBS.

The series received a People's Choice Award nomination for Favorite New TV Drama in 2011, its first year on the air.

Filming locations include Silvercup Studios, the Upper West Side and Queens, in New York.

The premiere drew 14.1 million viewers, but CBS canceled it in May 2012 even though it was the highest-rated canceled series on a network that season.

CBS reversed its cancellation in June 2012 and ordered a second season of 13 episodes, which aired as a summer series in 2013.

Poppy Montgomery shot action scenes shortly after giving birth, and her pregnancy delayed filming of the second season by two months.
