Synopsis of Rookie Blue
Five young recruits fresh out of the police academy arrive at Toronto's fictional 15 Division and are immediately faced with street work in a big city. Standing out among them is Andy McNally, a 26-year-old perfectionist who has always wanted to be a good cop. Her father was also a police officer, and she believes no other job will give her the sense of family, loyalty and excitement she finds on the force. The rookies compete, get tested and forge a strong camaraderie, but they soon discover that training isn't enough to face real life. Created by Morwyn Brebner, Tassie Cameron and Ellen Vanstone, the series aired on Global in Canada and on ABC in the United States. Missy Peregrym and Gregory Smith lead the cast.
