Synopsis of Van Helsing

Vanessa Van Helsing, a descendant of Abraham Van Helsing, returns to life after a death that seemed final. She wakes up in a near future, post-apocalyptic world three years after an eruption of the Yellowstone caldera covered the world in ash, blocked sunlight and allowed vampires to invade humanity. She is humanity's last hope, because her unique blood composition can restore vampires to their human state. With that power, she intends to lead an offensive to reclaim what was lost and stand up to the vampires who plague her. Created by Neil LaBute and starring Kelly Overton, the series aired on Syfy.
