Synopsis of The Sandman
Morpheus, the King of Dreams and one of the Endless, is held captive after being captured during an occult ritual held in 1916. When he escapes in 2022, after more than a century of confinement, he finds a realm in disarray. His goal is to restore order to the Dreaming, the realm he rules. To do so, he must visit different places and make amends for the cosmic and human mistakes he made during his long existence, while the people and places affected by his actions hold him accountable. Created by Neil Gaiman, David S. Goyer and Allan Heinberg, the series arrives on Netflix with Tom Sturridge in the lead role and adapts Gaiman's comic of the same name published by DC Comics.
