Angel

Angel is an American series created by Joss Whedon with David Greenwalt and aired on The WB. David Boreanaz stars as Angel, a more than 200-year-old Irish vampire who, after a century of murders, regains his soul through a Romani curse. That conscience torments him with guilt and remorse. When his relationship with Buffy, the vampire slayer, has no future, he settles in Los Angeles, California, determined to atone for his past. There he works as a private detective alongside a group of associates who try to help those who have no one. His mission is to restore faith and save the souls of those who have gone astray. Meanwhile, he must struggle against his own demonic nature and against creatures and people who ally themselves with them.
