Synopsis of Lost Girl

Bo is a bisexual succubus who was raised in a human adoptive family, unaware of her nature or of the Fae world she comes from. One day, her first sexual encounter with her high school boyfriend ends in his death, and when she tells her parents, she discovers she was adopted. She now lives in a city where humans and supernatural creatures coexist, and she meets Kenzi, a young woman who has just escaped an attacker. Together they want to open a detective agency that investigates cases involving humans and Fae. But the Fae leaders in the area demand that Bo choose a side, Light or Dark, and she refuses to pick either. Created by Michelle Lovretta and aired on Showcase, the series follows Anna Silk as a protagonist who learns to control her powers.

Trivia about Lost Girl

The series first premiered in Australia on Sci Fi Australia on July 14, 2011, before reaching the UK, Ireland, and the United States.

In August 2014, Showcase announced that the fifth season would be the last, and the number of final episodes was changed from 13 to 16.

Production almost came to a halt because the producers couldn't find their lead actress; Anna Silk landed the role after sending a recorded audition at the last minute.

"Lost Girl" became the most-watched Canadian scripted premiere on Showcase and continued to perform well with Canadian audiences.

In November 2010, Showcase renewed the series for a second season due to its record ratings, and later expanded the order to 22 episodes.

The broadcast of a scene between Bo and Lauren sparked accusations of censorship among LGBT fans after eight seconds were cut; the producers blamed the editing on running-time adjustments.

Most of the interiors were shot at Revival 629 Studio, a soundstage located at 629 Eastern Avenue in Toronto.
