Synopsis of Orphan Black
Sarah Manning is a young, orphaned and marginalized woman of British descent who scrapes by in Toronto through small scams. One day, she witnesses the suicide of a woman who looks exactly like her, Beth Childs, a police detective. Sarah decides to take her place and assume her identity, her job and her life, even though she barely knows anything about the woman she is replacing. As she tries to understand what led Beth to that end, she finds evidence that her death was not a coincidence. With the help of her adoptive brother, Felix, Sarah will try to uncover the truth and keep the life she has just stolen safe.
