Synopsis of Project Blue Book

Dr. J. Allen Hynek is a university astrophysicist who is skeptical of extraterrestrial life and UFOs. The U.S. Air Force recruits him to lead a covert operation that examines thousands of sightings, many of them unexplained. The action takes place in the 1950s and 1960s. Hynek tries to apply his scientific method to each case, separating what can be verified from what has no answer, while working alongside military officers who have their own agendas. The series was created by David O'Leary, airs on History and stars Aidan Gillen.
