Trivia about Banshee

On the first day of filming, Antony Starr split their lip during a choreographed fight and kept shooting for six hours before going to the hospital to get six stitches.

The high-speed heist scene that opens season two was filmed along five miles of closed highway.

After North Carolina withdrew its tax incentives for the production, the series moved to Vandergrift, Pennsylvania, about 30 miles from Pittsburgh.

In August 2012, Odette Annable was cast in the recurring role of Nola Longshadow, a Native American assassin.

The season one finale drew 655,000 viewers in its rerun, the highest audience to date for an original Cinemax series.

The fifth episode of season two, "The Truth about Unicorns," set a series record with 591,000 viewers in its original broadcast.

Armen V. Kevorkian won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Visual Effects at the 65th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards.

Antony Starr landed the lead role after their audition was sent from Australia to Los Angeles the same day, allowing them to fly there the next morning to continue the casting process.
