Synopsis of See

In the distant future, humanity has lost the sense of sight. A virus wiped out nearly the entire population, and the few survivors, along with their descendants, have reorganized life into tribal societies of hunters and gatherers. For them, seeing is little more than a myth. The story is set in a mountainous region disputed by two rival kingdoms, Payan and Trivantes. There, a pregnant woman named Maghra seeks refuge among the Alkenny. Their leader, Baba Voss, has been unable to have children, so he marries her and adopts the babies she is expecting. When the twins are born with the ability to see, the tribe's beliefs begin to crumble. Baba Voss will have to protect his family from a powerful queen. Created by Steven Knight and starring Jason Momoa, the series streams on Apple TV.

Trivia about See

Before filming, the cast, made up mostly of sighted actors, went through a month of "blindness training" with coach Joe Strechay.

Francis Lawrence denied rumors that placed the budget for the first two seasons at 240 million dollars, which would amount to 15 million per episode.

The second season broke Apple TV's viewership record and became the network's most-watched drama series.

Before Tom Mison landed the role of Lord Harlan, it was announced in February 2020 that Adrian Paul would join the cast to play that character.

The writers and the art and props departments worked with blindness consultants, an evolutionary biologist, and a survival expert to build the series' world.

Archspire band members Oliver Rae Aleron and Spencer Prewett make a cameo appearance in the first episode.

Blind actor Adam Morse had a small role in the second season as Frye, a witch hunter in Toad's service.

The third season was announced as the final one and consists of eight episodes, releasing weekly on Apple TV+ starting August 26, 2022.
