Synopsis of The Magicians
Quentin Coldwater is a student who enrolls at Brakebills University for Magical Pedagogy with the intention of training to become a magician. He soon discovers that the fantasy books that marked his childhood describe a real world, one that poses a danger to humanity. Meanwhile, his childhood friend Julia watches the doors of Brakebills close on her and her life goes off track. Determined to learn by another route, she starts looking for magic outside the school. Sera Gamble created the series, which airs on Syfy and stars Jason Ralph and Stella Maeve, with Olivia Taylor Dudley, Arjun Gupta and Summer Bishil in the main cast.
