Law & Order: Criminal Intent

Law & Order: Criminal Intent follows the Major Case Squad, a unit of detectives from the New York Police Department that handles high-profile crimes, such as those involving politicians, business executives, or artists. Its lead, Detective Robert Goren, has a background in psychology and a remarkable instinct for solving difficult cases. His partner, Detective Alexandra Eames, comes from a family of police officers and is initially distrustful of Goren's unconventional style. The action takes place in Manhattan, at One Police Plaza headquarters. The episodes aim to understand the minds of killers and their reasons for committing the crime, showing scenes from the lives of suspects that investigators can only deduce. The series, created by Dick Wolf, aired on NBC and later on USA Network.
