What Season 1 of Law & Order: Criminal Intent

Law & Order: Criminal Intent kicks off with the Major Case Squad, a unit of New York Police Department detectives working out of One Police Plaza in Manhattan. Their cases involve politicians, businesspeople and artists. Detective Robert Goren, who has a background in psychology, has a remarkable knack for solving the toughest cases. His partner, Detective Alexandra Eames, comes from a family of cops and is initially wary of his unconventional style. Each investigation seeks to understand the mind of the killer and the motives that drive them to commit the crime, with scenes from the suspects' lives that the officers can only infer.
