Synopsis of Hawkeye

One year after the events of Avengers: Endgame, Clint Barton, the former Avenger known as Hawkeye, has a simple goal: get back to his family for Christmas. However, enemies from his past, such as Ronin, force him to change his plans in New York. To face them, Barton must team up with Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer who idolizes him and who, to get his attention, posed as Ronin. The two must reluctantly work together, with Christmas as the deadline. The story takes place during the holiday season in the city. Jonathan Igla created the series for Disney+, starring Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld.

Trivia about Hawkeye

Variety reported that one of the reasons Hailee Steinfeld took so long to be confirmed was a non-compete clause with Apple TV+ over the series Dickinson, which the outlet believed could be negotiated.

Belova's creative writers, Devin Grayson and J. G. Jones, expected to earn 2000 dollars per episode, but ultimately received 300 due to a clause that allowed Marvel to reduce payments.

The budget for each episode came to 25 million dollars.

Filming included the Hoyt-Schermerhorn Streets subway station in central Brooklyn, as well as several Manhattan locations such as Washington Square Park.

Executive producer Trinh Tran said that Christmas became something like an additional character in the series.

A second season was explored creatively, but executive producer Andrew Guest explained that it ultimately did not move forward because Marvel's timelines and the other necessary elements did not fit together.

The series received three nominations at the Critics Choice Super Awards, three at the Saturn Awards and two at the Visual Effects Society Awards.

Maya Lopez, played by Alaqua Cox, starred in «Echo», a spin-off of «Hawkeye» that premiered on November 29, 2023.
