Synopsis of Limitless

Brian Finch is a down-on-his-luck musician who discovers a mysterious drug called NZT, which can activate every neuron in his brain. For twelve hours after taking it, he retains every detail of his life and reasons with unusual speed. The FBI forces him to put those abilities to work on complex cases. He works alongside Agent Rebecca Harris, an investigator with a dark past, and Agent Boyle, an ex-military man and Rebecca's confidant. Both answer to Nasreen Pouran, a shrewd and manipulative agent. Behind the agency's back, Brian has a relationship with Senator Eddie Morra, who provides him with the injection that counteracts the lethal effects of NZT. The series, created by Craig Sweeny, airs on CBS and stars Jake McDorman.

Trivia about Limitless

Bradley Cooper decided to develop a television series based on the film, together with Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, as announced on October 31, 2014.
The character of Hill Harper, Agent Spelman Boyle, takes his name from a university, Spelman College.
The pilot and premiere episode was watched by 9.86 million viewers, and 6.0 million of them were between 18 and 49 years old.
Executive producer Craig Sweeny announced the series' cancellation on May 25, 2016, after weeks of negotiations.
Bradley Cooper reprised the role of Eddie Morra in the episode "Side Effects May Include...," which aired on October 27, 2015, after appearing in the series premiere.
CBS ordered a full season of "Limitless" in October 2015, before airing the planned 22 episodes.
Glenn Geller, president of CBS Entertainment, explained that the series was not renewed because it failed to connect with audiences the way other productions had, and he ruled out internal creative problems.
Although CBS did not initially include it in its 2016-2017 schedule, the network even sought another platform to continue it before confirming the final cancellation.
