Synopsis of The 4400
Four thousand four hundred people who went missing years ago return to Earth without having aged. It all begins when a ball of light changes course and heads toward the planet, sparking panic and fear of a catastrophe of unknown proportions. Against all odds, the object does not hit the surface; instead, it settles on a lake on the northwest coast of the United States, at the foot of the Cascade Range, near Mount Rainier. The government creates the NTAC, an agency linked to Homeland Security, to find out where these people have been and why they have returned. Agents Tom Baldwin and Diana Skouris lead the investigation, while the presence of these individuals threatens to transform humanity in unprecedented ways.
