Synopsis of The Good Doctor
Shaun Murphy is a young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome. He comes from Casper, a small town in Wyoming, where he endured a difficult childhood. Now he moves to San Jose, California, to join the surgery department at San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital. There he faces colleagues who doubt his abilities and his way of working. Shaun wants to prove he can practice surgery despite his diagnosis and his past, and to do so he must earn the trust of a team that does not welcome him with open arms. The series, created by David Shore, airs on ABC and stars Freddie Highmore.
