Synopsis of Suits

New York. A corporate law firm in Manhattan. Mike Ross is a young man with a photographic memory who dropped out of college and makes a living by impersonating others on law school entrance exams. When a drug trafficking job puts him in a tight spot, Mike sneaks into a job interview at Pearson Hardman, one of the city's most prestigious law firms, and ends up hired by Harvey Specter, the firm's star lawyer, who needs an associate. Harvey is brilliant, calculating, and has a reputation for winning every case, even if he sometimes bends the rules. Together they win cases while Mike hides the fact that he has never studied law. The series, created by Aaron Korsh, airs on USA Network and stars Gabriel Macht and Patrick J. Adams.

Trivia about Suits

In April 2010, USA Network announced it was developing seven new pilots, including A Legal Mind, which would later be retitled Suits.
Korsh wrote a test script designed as a half-hour format in the style of Entourage, based on his experiences on Wall Street.
The Jessica Pearson character was originally created for a male actor, but the role ended up going to Gina Torres.
A deleted scene from the pilot, leaked on YouTube, shows Victor Garber as Phillip Hardman. It was cut during script rewrites.
The pilot was shot in New York, at the offices of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, and the rest of the series was filmed in Toronto, at Downsview Park Studios.
After arriving on Netflix and Peacock in 2023, the series topped Nielsen's streaming charts for 12 weeks, a record, and became the most-watched acquired series in a single week on Netflix.
The seventh-season finale was set up as a backdoor pilot for a possible spin-off centered on Jessica Pearson, as revealed in August 2017.
The spin-off Suits: LA, which premiered in February 2025 with Stephen Amell in the lead, was canceled by NBC after just one season of 13 episodes, with the finale airing on May 18, 2025.
