Synopsis of Matlock
Madeline Kingston is a wealthy lawyer who has been retired for years. She returns to practice law under a different identity: Matty Matlock, a penniless widow who looks for work at a New York law firm. Her plan is to take down the firm from within, because she believes it is complicit in the opioid epidemic that claimed the life of her daughter Ellie. Before she earns the trust of her new colleagues, she must help them solve tough cases, and to do so she puts her sharp intellect and deep command of the law to work. Created by Jennie Snyder Urman and aired on CBS, the series stars Kathy Bates, who plays this determined woman set on delivering justice with her own weapons.
