Lie to Me

Cal Lightman is a body language expert who can detect lies from facial micro-expressions. Heading The Lightman Group, a private company based in Washington, D.C., he leads a team of specialists who work for the police, the FBI, private companies and other clients who need to know whether someone is telling the truth. Alongside psychologist Gillian Foster, Lightman hires Ria Torres, a former TSA agent whom they consider a "natural" for this line of work. She is joined by Eli Loker, who has learned to read people through academic training and hands-on practice. Each case forces the team to interpret gestures, voices and movements until they uncover the truth. The series, created by Samuel Baum and aired on FOX, follows this team as it solves criminal investigations using unconventional methods.
