Runaway Jury

When a young widow sues a powerful New Orleans gun manufacturer she blames for her husband's death, a trial begins in which millions of dollars are at stake. But the trial is almost won in advance thanks to the selection, manipulation and attempted bribery of the jury. The widow is represented by Wendall Rohr (Dustin Hoffman), a Southern lawyer with strong principles and a sincere interest in the case. The lawyer representing the company is, in reality, a front man for Rankin Fitch (Gene Hackman), a brilliant and ruthless jury consultant. In a sophisticated command center set up in an old warehouse in the French Quarter, Fitch and his team evaluate potential jurors. Their goal is to secure the perfect jury for the company's interests.
