Synopsis of The Book of Boba Fett

Boba Fett and Fennec Shand are two mercenaries looking to carve out a path in the galaxy's criminal underworld. Their plan is to seize the territory once controlled by Jabba the Hutt on Tatooine, a desert planet where criminal power changes hands easily. Fett is a bounty hunter who knows the local syndicates well, while Shand is an elite assassin in his service. Together they must earn the respect of the gangs operating in the area and turn a former criminal fortune into their own empire. Jon Favreau creates the series for Disney+, starring Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen.

Trivia about The Book of Boba Fett

The season finale drew 1.5 million viewers, 36% more than the finale of The Mandalorian's second season, and was the most-watched Star Wars series on Disney+ up to that point.

After two weeks of filming, the crew discovered that they were actually making The Book of Boba Fett rather than the third season of The Mandalorian.

Filming began in late November 2020 under the working title Buccaneer, on the StageCraft video wall volume in Los Angeles that The Mandalorian also uses.

Jon Favreau wrote all seven episodes of the series and co-wrote the sixth with Dave Filoni.

Lucasfilm hired YouTuber and deepfake expert Shamook as senior facial capture artist; his viral enhancements of a young Luke Skywalker surpassed the quality of the original.

Swedish media noted the similarity of the main theme to Björn Isfält's music for the film Ronia, the Robber's Daughter (1984).

The series won a Creative Arts Emmy in 2022 for Outstanding Special Visual Effects, and also received nominations for sound editing, fantasy/sci-fi costumes and stunt coordination.

«The Book of Boba Fett» has won four awards and earned thirteen nominations, including the 2022 Saturn Award for Ming-Na Wen as Best Actress in a Streaming Series.
