Synopsis of The Mandalorian

The series, created by Jon Favreau and streaming on Disney+, is set five years after the fall of the Galactic Empire, in a period of anarchy on the outskirts of the galaxy. There lives Din Djarin, a solitary bounty hunter of Mandalorian culture who is brought to life by Pedro Pascal and who never shows his face. A client with ties to the remnants of the Empire hires him to capture a child of the same species as Yoda. However, Din decides to flee with him instead of handing him over. While he tries to reunite the little one with his own kind, the protagonist is pursued by bounty hunters and forces who want to take the child. His goal is to bring him to his people while evading those who are hunting them.

«Bounty hunting is a complicated profession.»

Trivia about The Mandalorian

Dave Filoni drew a baby of the same species as Yoda, and that sketch eventually became the character of The Child.

The set was 21 feet tall and 75 feet in diameter, surrounded by a 360-degree semicircular LED wall and ceiling.

The main theme came from Ludwig Göransson experimenting with a bass recorder, digitally manipulated to sound more futuristic.

Dave Filoni directed the first episode, marking his live-action directing debut.

The first season earned a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Drama Series and won seven Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards.

Jon Favreau confirmed that scripts for a fourth season were finished, but Lucasfilm decided to turn that material into a movie starring Din Djarin and Grogu, instead of producing new episodes for Disney+.
